The pilgrimage, a journey of the soul, commences at the peaceful Yamunotri and culminates at the divine Badrinath. - Duration: Embark on a 7-day pilgrimage to the sacred Chardham sites.
- Best Time: The pilgrimage season typically begins in April-May and lasts until October-November, coinciding with favourable weather conditions in the Himalayan region.
- Group Size: Gather a minimum of 4 fellow pilgrims for the entire journey.
- Route: The pilgrimage covers Haridwar, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, starting and concluding in Haridwar. TPFL provides services from Haridwar to Haridwar.
Note: If you choose a 2-Dham trip (e.g., Haridwar to Gangotri & Yamunotri, and back to Haridwar), the price is halved. Flexible and personalized pricing options are available for solo travellers, ensuring a tailored experience.
- Travel & Transport: Typically, the journey is conducted by car. Helicopter services are also available, with costs varying and negotiable. Special transportation arrangements from your home to Chardham and back can be discussed for group members.
- Comfortable Accommodation: Rest well in hotels or guesthouses along the route, ensuring a pleasant stay during your spiritual quest.
- Yamunotri Temple: The abode of Goddess Yamuna, this sacred temple lies at the Yamuna River’s origin and welcomes pilgrims after a trek from Hanuman Chatti.
- Surya Kund and Divya Shila: Close to the temple, these hot springs and the revered rock pillar, Divya Shila, are essential stops for those seeking blessings.
- Gangotri Temple: At the Ganga River’s source stands this temple, honouring Goddess Ganga and marking a key spiritual site, easily reached from Gangotri town.
- Bhagirath Shila: This holy stone is where King Bhagiratha’s penance summoned the Ganga to Earth, a site steeped in myth and meditation.
- Kedarnath Temple: Nestled in the Himalayas, this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is a revered Jyotirlinga, accessible by a trek from Gaurikund.
- Bhairavnath Temple: In the vicinity of Kedarnath, this shrine to Lord Shiva’s fierce form, Bhairava, stands as a testament to devotion and strength.
- Badrinath Temple: On the Alaknanda River’s banks, this temple devoted to Lord Vishnu is a celebrated Divya Desam, accessible from Badrinath town.
- Mana Village: The last Indian village before the China border, Mana is famed for its panoramic Himalayan views and as the legendary site where the Mahabharata was composed.
